Anti-bullying campaigns

Auto Tech Services has worked with the Mansfield ISD in the past to help publish anti-bullying coloring books. Bullying is no fun, but learning about it can be. These coloring books give teachers and students a great opportunity to talk about bullying while they have fun. Each page includes an important message about respecting others, valuing differences, and being a friend.

Veterans of Foreign Wars – www.texasvfw.org

Auto Tech Services has made annual donations to the Veterans of Foreign Wars—Texas. The VFW mission is to support those who have sacrificed so much for this country—All veterans and their families. VFW Military Assistance Program works to give troops and military families the help they need during long deployments and when they return. The program sponsors numerous morale-boosting sendoffs and homecomings for troops and their families. The events—which often include free entertainment, food, and other festivities—are held at military bases across the nation, as well as at local VFW Posts.

Safe haven – www.safehaventc.org

Auto Tech Services makes annual donations to help support Safe Haven of Arlington. The mission of SafeHaven is to end domestic violence through safety, support, prevention, and social change. Established through the 2006 merger of The Women’s Shelter and Women’s Haven, SafeHaven’s shelters have served domestic violence victims in Fort Worth, Arlington and the surrounding areas for almost four decades. As the oldest and largest Tarrant County organization providing services at no cost to domestic violence victims and their children, SafeHaven helps women rebuild their lives and move from fear to freedom. With two 24 hour emergency shelters, counseling, legal services, children’s programs and more, SafeHaven provides the only shelters in Tarrant County specifically for victims of domestic violence. Through our outreach, education, support, and prevention services, we are making progress to reduce and end domestic violence.

Mission Arlington – www.missionarlington.org

Through annual donations and special gifts at Christmastime, Auto Tech Services supports Mission Arlington. When Mission Arlington® began in August of 1986, the idea was to help people find their way back into a church. We subsequently discovered that many people felt disconnected from the church in general. It’s not that churches weren’t friendly or inviting, but that there seemed to be some a barrier in the minds and hearts of people, making it difficult for them to connect. We decided then that if people couldn’t come to the church, for whatever reason, we would take the church to them. Today people of all ages gather each week to hear the Bible taught in multiple languages in 349 locations in Arlington and the larger Dallas/Fort Worth region. They meet in neighborhood homes, apartment clubhouses, mobile home parks and in any other location where people can gather together to hear God’s Word.
